Officially Spring!

The days are longer and brighter!

It is officially Spring!

What are you nurturing to grow with the seasonal changes?  Perhaps something in this issue will inspire you.

  • Gratefully, our prayerful intentions to find a replacement quickly were heard. We are pleased to let you know that the interview process occurred and new caretakers were chosen. We will formally introduce the couple in next month’s issue. They will officially begin their role on April 1.

  • Our calendar is starting to fill for this Spring and Fall. This means good lodging income for the Farm in the coming months. With events being booked through the end of 2022, our annual budget is made easier and we plan to officially bless the 2022 budget at our upcoming Board retreat in March.

For the full year of 2021, Potter's Farm had income of $50,000 and total expenses of $42,000, which provides the opportunity for needed improvements and support for the upcoming gap in caretakers. Both income and expenses were lower than originally budgeted.

Please consider becoming a Supportive Sustainer Donor by contributing a consistent monthly amount. Any amount is helpful! Become a Supportive Sustainer!

  • Missing email? Gmail user? We’ve got some tips!

Perhaps email correspondence from Potter’s Farm is going into your Promotions tab where you don’t see it? Unless you deliberately choose otherwise, much of this timely content you’ve specifically asked to receive will also end up under the Promotions tab by default. The good news is you can quickly and easily choose which emails go into which inbox tab.

Please share this with others who might need the information.

    Log into your Gmail account.
If you’re using a “tabbed inbox” system in Gmail, know that Google has split your inbox into three separate inboxes and created tabs across the top labeled Primary, Social, and Promotions.

Virtually all emails from bloggers, other websites, and people you subscribe to are lumped into the “Promotions” tab automatically--where you may not see them.
You can quickly and easily choose which emails go into which inbox tab.

Look at your Gmail account to see if the “tabbed” inboxes have been turned on (you’ll see the tabs across the top of your emails).

    Tabbed Gmail
If so, here’s how to make sure you’re seeing the emails you’ve asked to see:

    1. Click on the Promotions inbox tab. Drag any emails from anyone you want to hear from (like newsletters and ceremony announcements from events@oneheartcircle.org) and drop them onto the Primary tab.
    Gmail4
    2. Then, when a prompt asks if you want future emails to go into your Primary inbox, just click yes.
    Gmail3
    3. Add events@oneheartcircle.org to your Google contacts

Be sure to check your Promotions inbox to make sure nothing else you really want is getting caught in it.
    Easy enough!

    Untabbed Email
If you’d rather turn off the tabbed inboxes:
    1. Click on the Settings “gear” image at the upper right corner of your inbox and select “Settings.”

    Gmail1

    2. Click the “Inbox” tab and uncheck ALL of the categories except “Primary,” then save your changes.
    Gmail2
    3. Add events@oneheartcircle.org to your Google contacts
